Aside from maintaining my private teaching studio, I remain active as a versatile solo and collaborative performer across North America. As a native of Finland, I am deeply passionate about promoting Finnish and Nordic repertoire and bringing these beautiful, often lesser-known works to new audiences.

Since moving to Canada in 2002 and to the United Sates in 2015, my musical journey has allowed me to perform at numerous North American Finnish and Nordic cultural events. My interest in this music led to my debut solo CD, Jean Sibelius - Compositions for Piano, which highlights the master composer’s rarely heard solo piano pieces.

Previously, while living in Toronto, I also spent several years performing in Canada with soprano Cindy Koistinen as Duo Freya. Our collaborative album, Diamonds of the North – Songs from Scandinavia, was praised by The WholeNote magazine as "truly full of little musical diamonds – and a rich introduction to the world of Nordic art song."

Currently, I actively collaborate with tenor Erich Buchholz as Duo SaBu, focusing on vibrant Finnish and Scandinavian art songs.

Our recent performances have taken us to wonderful Bay Area venues, including the Finnish Hall in Berkeley, Piedmont Center for the Arts in Piedmont, the Norwegian Seaman’s Church in San Francisco, and the Flower Piano Festival at the San Francisco Botanical Gardens.
